Less than a year following her very public divorce, the country music singing sensation Sara Evans is being reported to be heading down the aisle once again. According to People, the "A Real Fine Place to Start" singer has recently being engaged to her sports talk radio host boyfriend, Jay Barker and allegedly planning to get married soon.
On the engagement reports, Lori Genes, the spokeswoman to the 37-year-old singer, confirmed that the dubbed 2006 Academy of Country Music Awards' Top Female Vocalist has accepted Barker's marriage proposal earlier. "The couple are enjoying their engagement and look forward to their upcoming nuptials," explained the representative. Further, People noted that a wedding date has yet to be set.
Evans reportedly met her new fiance for the first time when she became a guest on his radio show called The Opening Drive in November 2007. From then on, the two started dating. If they got married, the couple will be having seven children between them as Evans has three children from her ex-husband, Craig Schelske, whereas Barker who is the former University of Alabama quarterback has four children from his previous marriage.
Back in October 2006, Evans stunned the world as she quit suddenly from the U.S. dancing competition "Dancing with the Stars" and filed for divorce from her husband. The divorce became scandalous one as cheating accusations had been thrown by both Evans and Schelske towards each other. Their bitter divorce battle finally came to end following the finalizing of the separation on September 28, 2007.
