The bidding for Kristin Davis date has ended and she defeated Scarlett Johansson in raising money for the auction. The "Sex and the City" star gathered $52,100 for a date with her at the world premiere of "Sex and the City: The Movie". She directly surpassed Johansson who got $42,000 when Johansson offered a similar experience earlier this month to meet her at the premiere of her latest movie "He's Just Not That Into You".
Reportedly, the winner of Kristin's date auction is only known as 'superiorlotus912'. The winner will be driven to the New York premiere in a chauffeured car on May 27, 2008. There, Superiorlotus912 will meet the actress and receive a pair of Jimmy Choo 'Felix'-style shoes.
Following her success in gathering over five thousands dollars for her date auction, her nude picture may have something to do with this. The rumors claimed that the pictures has helped to brought in some cash. Though it's still not clear if the pictures are really Kristin, but the publicity of the pictures was said to have pushed the bids to the highest.
Kristin's meet-and-greets auction was held to raise money for charity. The money will be donated to Oxam America which offers development programs and emergency relief services, and campaigns for change in global practices and policies that keep people in poverty. Many celebrities have also auctioned off meet-and-greets to raise money for charity, including Colin Firth and Charlize Theron.
