Trying to get back into her dancing root, Paula Abdul was reported to be planning to join U.S. TV show 'Dancing With The Star' for next season.
Hosting American Idol for several years do not make
Paula Abdul satisfied. Recently, the singer was reported to be planning to join U.S. TV show "Dancing With The Stars". She reportedly wants to be a contestant on the hit dancing TV show for next season.
Reportedly, Paula has had conversation with the host of "DWTS" Tom Bergeron during the first elimination round on the sixth season of the contest. The "Straight Up" singer told Tom that she was very interested in being a contestant of the show. She said, "I have no ballroom training. Obviously, I've been a choreographer. I have no ballroom training and I'd love to be part of it."
Following Paula's plan, one of ABC executives, who was in the ballroom when Paula met Tom, gave a good response, saying "That's a great idea!" It seems that ABC, which is known as the official broadcaster of the show, will be conducting the choreographer's offer. However, her dream to join the show will come true only if she gets permission from her contract with American Idol.
Joining "DWTS" show might be one of Paula's way to get back into her root and to show off her dancing skills. Earlier, Paula was known as a choreographer. She has choreographed several artists' video in 1980s, including
Janet Jackson's. In 1995, she reportedly released a dance video entitled "Paula Abdul's Get Up and Dance!"
