Ashlee Simpson to Launch Her Own Fashion Line

 Ashlee Simpson will follow the footsteps of her sister Jessica Simpson by launching her own fashion line. The singer was reportedly associated by young women's wear retailer The Wet Seal, Inc. to design shirts. She was reported to be launching the shirts on April 22, 2008, the same day her new album "Bittersweet World" will be launched.
Following her new experience in fashion designing, Ashlee explained that all designs were inspired by her own personality, sense of style and artwork. She said, "I was inspired by so many fun, wonderful things as I was recording Bittersweet World and it's been great to carry through those inspirations into these new shirt designs." She really hoped her fan will accept the shirts as well as her album.
In the meantime, the Chief Executive Officer of the company Ed Thomas revealed his company's reason in teaming up with Ashlee stating, "The goal was to partner with an icon and deliver affordable fashion, and Ashlee is an ideal partner for this." Thomas also explained that Ashlee is a trend setter for girls and has sense of style which can be an inspiration for the line. He further added, "We're excited to see the designs brought to life in our stores and we look forward to Ashlee's exclusive merchandise being available across America."
Reportedly, the company will also be selling Ashlee's new album at all Wet Seal locations nationwide and online at wetseal.com. The company will even make a nationwide promotion that includes a sweepstakes in which the winner will have a private meet-and-greet with Ashlee during her summer tour. The winner will get several prizes, including a $500 shopping spree at Wet Seal and attending the Ashlee Simpson concert.
