The drummer of Poison, Rikki Rockett, was reportedly arrested on a rape warrant at LAX after he finished his heavy metal concert with his band mate in New Zealand.
Rikki Rockett was reportedly arrested on a rape warrant out of Mississippi as he arrived at LAX after getting off a flight from New Zealand on Monday, March 24, 2008. According to Los Angeles police and the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department's Inmate Information website, the drummer of
Poison was sent into the Los Angeles County Jail. However, information about the specific charges was not let out.
Reportedly, the 46-year-old was arrested on a fugitive sexual rape warrant which was issued in Neshoba County. However, the Sheriff's website reported that Rockett has apparently been released from L.A. County. Recently, his status cannot be confirmed, and his current position is unknown.
Earlier, Rockett reportedly went to New Zealand to reunite with other members of the band. In New Zealand, he met other rockers Bret Michaels, CC DeVille, and Bobby Dall. There, they performed as Poison at the Rock2Wellington heavy metal concert.
Rockett was born Richard Allan Ream in August 8, 1961 in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. Before founding Poison with Bret, he has worked as a hairdresser, lifeguard, dishwasher, Emergency Medical Technician and a suit salesman. He rose to prominence in the 1980s when he co-founded the band Poison with vocalist Bret Michaels. The drummer is also known as an animal activist.
