Few days after she was found guilty of assault, weapons possession and coercion, rapper Remy Ma is being reported to be planning a wedding behind bars. MTV News reported that the 26-year-old rapper is going to tie her knot to her rumored boyfriend Papoose as Papoose revealed that he and Ma are indeed a couple and had been planning to get married in April 2008.
On an e-mail he sent to MTV, the 30-year-old rapper confessed that they will still go on with their wedding plans though Ma has been held behind bars and are still waiting for the sentencing of her assault charges. "We always wanted to keep our personal lives personal, so that's why we never went public with our relationship," the e-mail read. "Right now, I just feel like she gotta live through me. Yes, we were scheduled to be married on a yacht April 27th. But due to circumstances beyond our control, we are now making arrangements to be married in prison."
Earlier, Papoose and Ma have often denied rumors speculating on their romantic relationships. The latest rebuttal of their romance came a day after a New York radio personality Egypt let out confirmation on her television show on Thursday, March 6, that the two are engaged. At the time, Papoose slammed the announcement claiming that the reports were not true.
On Ma's reports, it has been reported that has been kept in jail while waiting for her April 23's sentencing following her conviction on Thursday, March 27. The former member of Fat Joe's rap crew, Terror Squad, is facing up to 25 years behind bars for the shooting incident occurred on July 14, 2007. At the time, Ma reportedly shot her childhood acquaintance Makeda Barnes Joseph outside of a nightclub in the Bronx, New York City. The shooting allegedly was stemming from Ma's accusation that Joseph has stolen a sum of money from her purse.
