Pop singer Jessica Simpson has been reported to be spending her weekend on the hospital due to a kidney infection. According to The Associated Press, Simpson's representative Lauren Auslander confirmed that the 27-year-old singer has been admitted to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Friday (28.03.08) and was released three days after on Monday (31.03.08).
To In Touch Magazine, Auslander revealed, "She was hospitalized for a kidney infection, but she has been released and is doing fine." Further on Simpson's admittance to the hospital, In Touch, which has reported the story exclusively on Monday, let out that the sister of pop rock singer Ashlee Simpson was brought into the hospital after she came down with a fever. "She checked in on Friday morning because she was feeling achy and had a fever," a family friend revealed. Allegedly, during her hospitalization, the "The Dukes of Hazzard" beauty was not being accompanied by her star quarterback boyfriend Tony Romo since he had prior commitments in Dallas.
Earlier, Simpson has sparked secret marriage rumors to the Dallas Cowboys quarterback following her mother's suggesting comment after a dinner in an L.A. restaurant. At the occasion, when asked when her daughter would tie the knot with her new beau, Tina laughed and said, "Jessica is already married to Tony! What are you talking about?" Following the comment, Simpson then told TMZ, "Well I guess if my mom said it, it must be true!" However, later on, it was revealed that the secret wedding remarks were only a joke.
