Amy Winehouse reportedly will appear in BBC1's new season series of "Doctor Who". Reportedly, the "Rehab" singer will star as a villain in the series which will start again on Saturday, April 5, 2008. It means that Amy is following the footsteps of Kylie Minogue who formerly played Astrid Perth on Christmas special of the series in 2007.
In the series, Amy allegedly is going to portray a rouge Time Lord, The Rani. The character was previously played by actress Kate O`Mara in the 1980s. The Rani is an evil scientific genius who has enslaved entire planets in previous episode.
According to NME.com, Amy is a massive fan of "Doctor Who" show. Sources close to show said, "She was a total 'Doctor Who' nerd as a kid." They further explained that Amy and her husband Blake Fielder-Civil have all the DVDs of the series in their flat.
Aside from starring in "Doctor Who", Amy was also reportedly expected to show her new hair range "The Wino", which will include replicas of her famous hair-do. The reports followed the last rumors which claimed that the singer had signed a unique fashion deal with Roberto Cavalli. Reportedly, "The Wino" will be available in various different sizes, but it's not clear yet when it will be available.
