Johnny Depp reportedly will not be appearing in a condom advertisement after the rumors that reported he was offered to become condom brand's new face was clarified by his representative.
The last rumors has reported that
Johnny Depp was offered $10 million to became a condom brand's new face. However, the rumors has reportedly been clarified by the actor's representative Robin Baum. The clarification indicated that Depp will not be appearing in condom brand's advertisement.
Reportedly, Baum insisted that the rumors were untrue. The spokeswoman further explained that the "
Sweeney Todd" star has not been offered to become the new face. "There is no truth to this. He has not been approached," she said.
Previously, the star of
Finding Neverland was said to be considering an offer made by condom company Trojan. The company believed that Depp would increase their sales in the U.S. Reportedly, Trojan executives have also made a slogan for the actor which allegedly read, "Stand up with Johnny for safer sex."
In the meantime, the actor's involvement in the ads was also reported to help launch an anti-AIDS campaign for the economically undeveloped countries. A spokeswoman for California's Safer Sex Awareness Campaign also said, "We'd welcome seeing a major Hollywood star helping to promote the cause." She further added, "And there's no one bigger than Johnny."
