Pop singer Mariah Carey has been hit by rumors claiming that she has lip-synced during her performance at German Idol on Saturday, April 6, 2008, night. The rumors has first been sparked by PerezHilton.com on Sunday, April 6, 2008. However, the truth behind the rumors is still unclear because the singer has yet to give neither confirmation nor denial concerning the matter.
In the reports, PerezHilton.com has revealed a clip which shows Carey's performance at the competition show. Further, the site insisted that Carey seemed to be lip-syncing when she was performing her new single "Touch My Body". The site even claimed that before she allegedly lip-synced at German Idol, she has also done it on the U.K's Paul O'Grady show. However, the site asked others to judge by themselves if the "Rainbow" singer was really lip-syncing or not.
Reportedly, Carey wore a black dress with high heels as she was singing a track from her new album "E=MC²" at the show. On the stage, the pop star was greeted by host of the competition Marco Schreyl. Further, she was reported to talk about her success and her great looks to Marco.
Aside from that, Carey allegedly has spent the day with the contestants of the show. During their meeting, the "Endless Love" singer told the contestants how to sing her songs well. She gave advices to them because the contestants had to sing Carey's songs for the show which was broadcasted on April 5, 2008.
