Teen actress Miley Cyrus has reportedly revealed her confidence on winning American Idol as she was being interviewed by AccesHollywood.com after taping for "Idol Gives Back". Cyrus believed that she can overcome the Idol pressure, including the pressure from the judge of the competition Simon Cowell. She said, "Hopefully I would win. (Simon is) pretty cruel. Hopefully I'd take it home."
Aside from that, the site gave another question to the actress. The site asked the daughter of country superstar Billy Ray Cyrus whether she will join the competition if she wasn't already famous. Cyrus answered that she might join the competition saying, "I probably would have, I swear. I think that would have been so cool!"
Recently, Cyrus has taped a performance for the Fox's star-studded charity even "Idol Gives Back". The show is set to air in the U.S. on Wednesday, April 9, 2008. The "Hannah Montana" star was reported to perform two of her songs in the filming of the second annual Idol Gives Back on Sunday, April 6, 2008.
Aside from performing in the show, Cyrus has also spent time in Kentucky to help kids in need as part of Idol Gives Back agenda. The actress told the site that she was really enthusiastic to show her support. She said, "It was great because that is where my dad is from and that's where I've been raised most my life, so I've been around that a lot. But to be able to say, 'Hey! I'm back! And I can help this time.' I think is really cool."
