Pop star Britney Spears was so touched by a charity show "Idol Gives Back" aired on Wednesday, April 9, 2008. Therefore, the troubled singer decided to donate $25,000 to the show. Her donation is expected can help children in need in Africa, whom she watched during the show.
It was reported that Spears forgot her own troubles for the night and watched the charity show. A Spears family told Life & Style magazine that the pop singer has cried when she watched the children in Africa who suffer from Malaria. The family said, "She watched the show and cried for like two hours over the children in Africa with malaria."
Further, the family revealed that the Jamie Lynn Spears' sister was horrified to imagine the children were dying because of the disease. The family said, "She didn't know much about the disease, so she Googled it. She was horrified to realize kids were dying from mosquito bites." Further, the family explained that Spears went online to give donation after she got permission from her father Jamie Spears.
On Spears' related news, her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake has reportedly agreed to meet her on a family barbecue. The ex-couple would be having a meeting this summer at a low-key family meeting. An insider told the magazine that the meeting might be planned to help Spears recovering from her mental illness issues.
