Nicollette Sheridan, who has received a Golden Globe nomination for her role as troublemaker Edie Britt, is about to leave the world's favorite U.S. show, "Desperate Housewives". It is reported that she will be leaving at the end of the current season, namely the fourth one.
This rumor has approximately emerged for a year, and now it appears to be true that Nicollette is going to move out from the U.S. fictional world, Wisteria Lane. A source told Star magazine, "Whispers are swirling all over the set at Universal about her leaving the show. There has been a lot of speculation in the past, but this time there seems to be something to the rumors." Moreover, an insider added, "They are planning a party to wish her well in her new life."
Commenting on this, Marc Cherry, the creator of the TV series, stated, "Edie is going to cross a huge moral boundary that she's never crossed before on the show, and it will have devastating consequences for her and lead to a shocking conclusion to her time on Wisteria Lane."
Marc was so impressed by Nicollette's work in the Pilot, and right after that, along with Teri Hatcher, Marcia Cross, Eva Longoria and Felicity Huffman, Nicollette has been counted as one of five leading women in Desperate Housewives.
