Troubled singer Amy Winehouse has to postpone her ambition of breaking the American music market. Amy who was being considered to perform at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's annual Costume Institute Gala on May 5, had her appointment canceled out by the event organizers.
A source close to Amy explicitly revealed the singer's disappointment to be left out from the event, as quoted saying, "She has been told that she is no longer part of the program. She was really looking forward to going to America." The cancellation has also been confirmed by the Gala's representative who said, "She was asked if she would be interested, and she was considered, but then we moved on from her."
It was a big blow for Amy as she was actually has been granted a business visa to visit U.S. Previously, Amy also failed to appear at the 50th Grammy Awards because her application for visa was denied.
Other rumors say that Amy is currently having another thing that she has to worried about. It is her contagious skin infection which could be related with her drug usage. She was reportedly has rarely been seen out from her house because of it. "Amy is staying at home as much as possible because she is so upset about her skin. She is devastated her skin is in such a bad way, she's very low," so said the source.
