An American actress and former fashion model,
Cameron Diaz, is now mourning the sudden death of her father, Emilio Diaz, who lived in Seal Beach, California. The 58-year-old Emilio Diaz suddenly passed away on Tuesday morning April 15. The death of Emilio Diaz was considered shocking since he was formerly reported in excellent health. Apparently, Emilio died out of flu which was getting much more serious and then became a pneumonia.
Cameron found her father dead after a visit to New York City and
Ashton Kutcher's SNL afterparty. Cameron will have a scheduled private party on Wednesday night thrown by British GQ and Dunhill, hosted by
Elton John, his partner, David Furnish, and Dylan Jones, British GQ's editor. But due to the sudden death of her father, she may not attend it.
Emilio, who had a bit part in Cameron's film "There's Something About Mary" as Mary Jensen, was a second generation Cuban-American who worked as a foreman for an oil company. Cameron is the brood resulting from his marriage to Billie, an import-export agent, who is of English, German and Cherokee Native American ancestry.
Cameron is currently working on her upcoming film, "
My Sister's Keeper", as Sara Fitzgerald. However, a source on the set told TMZ that production on the film was stalled on Tuesday, April 15. Besides "My Sister's Keeper", Cameron will also be scheduled to work on "Shrek Goes Fourth" (2010).
