Legendary heavy metal band Motley Crue makes a new breakthrough in their musical career. The band have announced that they are making their own hard-rock festival touring called "Crue Fest" which will start on July 1, 2008.
The rockers revealed the news in a press conference in L.A. on April 15. To the press, they said that the fest will hit 41 cities in North America and set to kick off at West Palm Beach on July 1 and ended in Pittsburgh on August 31. Moreover, the band also stated their expectation of the festival. They hope that it would follow the success of Ozzy Osbourne's "Ozzfest" which has been around for 12 years. "Hopefully it'll be like Ozzfest and carry on for years," said the band's drummer Tommy Lee
Performing on the "Crue Fest", Motley will feature all of their original members; singer-Vince Neil, bassist-Nikki Sixx, guitarist-Mick Mars and drummer-Tommy Lee. Besides the band, other performers set to join them on the fest are Buckcherry, Papa Roach and Trapt.
Other than their music fest, Motley are also preparing to release their new album, which is an autobiographical album titled "Saints of Los Angeles". The new album will hit the stores on
June 17, 2008. Besides that, one of their new singles, which has the same title as the band's latest album, reportedly will also be featured in a video game "Rock Band".
