After previously being reported to be given a lifetime ban from British Airways (BA), supermodel Naomi Campbell has now reacted by boycotting the airlines. Naomi released a statement to the press insisting that she will no longer use the airlines. The model also claimed that the airlines had changed their mind and canceled the ban against her.
Naomi revealed that a representative from BA has called her and even asked her to use the airlines again. "Someone from BA called me and asked that I return to fly with them, but this will not occur so early," she said. Naomi then said that she refused to use the airlines because she felt that BA has been disrespectful to her after not being able to find her missing bag. "They didn't find my bag-said it wasn't in the system-and there was a complete disrespect for the passengers."
Meanwhile, commenting on the ban report, a representative from BA said, "We have not confirmed or denied that any passenger has been banned." Moreover, the source also added that they haven't made any call to Naomi. "We are not aware of any pleading phone calls to Ms Campbell," the source said.
The British supermodel's feud with the airlines started on April 3, 2008 after she was arrested at Heathrow Airport's Terminal 5. She got arrested because she was accused of assaulting a police officer at the airport, following a dispute with the airline workers. Naomi was upset with the workers after discovering that her bag was missing and they couldn't find it.
