Will Smith Fund Music Video Site, Released on April 16, together with his entertainment group, Overbrook entertainment, apparently had a project with new music video site based in Santa Monica, called PluggedIn.com. The project involved big music studios such as Sony BMG and EMI. It was also reported that Will's company was "investing both its capital and resources into PluggedIn.com's groundbreaking consumer experience".

The new site, was launched on Wednesday, April 16 with approximately 2 million dollars funding from Will's and other entertainment companies. It offered one million artist profiles and featured over 10,000 major label music videos streaming free online. Dealing with this, Jeff Somers, the CEO of the new site, explained "We're building a unique experience for fans, a place where they can meet and interact with each other, and where they can enjoy, discover and share premium quality video content."

Blog.wired.com revealed that the new site emphasized on popular artists. Users can make their own profile pages on the new site, where they can watch their favorite artists and videos, but these videos cannot be embedded.
