Being a superstar doesn't mean that you can do anything you like. It's something that Mariah Carey learns after she was booed by her fans for showing up late at an autograph signing.
On Thursday,April 17, 2008, Mariah was scheduled to do a meet and greet session to promote the release of her new album "E=MC²". Around 1,000 fans waited in-line for her at the Universal City Walk in Los Angeles, unfortunately, she arrived two hours late.
The fans were more upset because not only that the pop diva showed up two hours late, but Mariah reportedly also left the signing session before it was finished. The devotees who have been waiting eight hours just to meet her, then expressed their disappointment by booing her and some even trashed her CD that they just bought. "Some fans booed and others even trashed their copies of Mariah's new CD and yelled profanities at her," a source said.
Moreover, the disappointed fans who have left the venue also hit the net to spread the news. A fan was quoted saying that there were still 100 people who haven't get the chance to meet Mariah. "The first 1,000 people who bought her album from (record store) FYE got a guaranteed meet and greet (wristband), but she left with more than a hundred people still waiting, so said the fans."
