David Beckham Defended by Bosses After Blamed by Supporters

After the Los Angeles Galaxy's 2-2 draw with Houston Dynamo, David Beckham reportedly was blamed by the supporters of his club. The fans blamed his celebrity lifestyle to have caused the lack of games the team has won. Beckham was accused of spending too much time with his celebrity friends and walking on the red carpet rather than focusing on his game.

Beckham's bosses, however, have defended him. "He's the first one on the training pitch and the last one off. What he does in his private life in no way reflects on the team. He's a major celebrity and he's bound to attract attention wherever he goes," a spokesperson for the L.A. Galaxy said.

Apart from that, a spokesman to Beckham has denied the rumors on Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise's absence from his wife Victoria Adams' birthday party. "They all had a drink together, and Tom and Katie and David and Victoria were all out for dinner together last Friday," he stated.
