Miley Cyrus' Semi Topless Pics in Vanity FairKnowing that her semi topless photographs for June 2008 issue of Vanity Fair were different from what she expected before, felt so ashamed and claimed the photos were not artsy. Instead of feeling proud, the "Hannah Montana" star found herself embarrassed by the pictures. Thus, she deeply apologized to all her fans.

The pictures were taken by photographer Annie Leibovitz for the magazine, which will on sale in New York and Los Angeles on Wednesday, April 30 and nationwide May 6. In the photos, Miley was depicted topless with her back nude and her breasts were wrapped only by bed sheet. Annie made it in such way although Miley didn't fully nude when the photographs were taken. This point leads to her disappointment.

To People, Miley exclusively revealed her feeling over the pictures, saying "My goal in my music and my acting is always to make people happy. For Vanity Fair, I was so honored and thrilled to work with Annie (Leibovitz). I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be 'artistic' and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed." She then added, "The pictures of me on the Internet were silly, inappropriate shots. I appreciate all the support of my fans, and hope they understand that along the way I am going to make mistakes and I am not perfect. I never intended for any of this to happen and I am truly sorry if I have disappointed anyone."

The pictures really made Miley upset about embarrassing herself, family and fans. "Most of all," she stated, "I have let myself down. I will learn from my mistakes and trust my support team. My family and my faith will guide me through my life's journey." Concerning that, Miley apologized to her fans, saying "I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologize to my fans who I care so deeply about."

Furthermore, the Disney Channel which broadcasts Miley's "Hannah Montana" commented on the pictures saying, "Unfortunately, as the article suggests, a situation was created to deliberately manipulate a 15-year-old in order to sell magazines." Her family were also disappointed at this trouble, as a source revealed, "Miley's grandmother and her teacher were there when she shot it. Annie convinced them it was going to be artistic. Her parents are mortified. They know this is a learning moment for Miley. The photo suggests that she is (naked), but she is not. She is covered by a sheet, and beneath the sheet she is clothed. Originally, she was in a flesh-colored tank top but was asked to remove it."
