Musician James Blunt has decided to undergo surgery after he broke his finger at a gig in Asheville, North Carolina last month. Revealing his reason to undergo the surgery, he said "I need it fixed. I need all my fingers to work properly. Not just for performing but for partying."
After his finger was injured, James has been suggested by doctor to have emergency surgery. However, he is currently on tour and will have to perform in Japan, New Zealand and Australia. It means he cannot undergo the surgery soon.
To make his finger works properly, James has to let doctor fixes it. The doctor will re-break and reset the finger before plastering it. "I need it fixed. I need all my fingers to work properly but the idea of having them take a hammer and smash my finger into two isn't so thrilling," he said.
James previously told The Sun that his finger was injured after he jumped into the crowd at the concert. Describing the situation when his finger got injured, the 34-year-old confessed that he didn't know how it happened, saying "I started running and the next thing I knew I had broken my finger. I don't even know how I did it or what made me do it."
