American Idol judge Simon Cowell got a surprise during the TV live and was left in a red face. The one who shocked him apparently was his childhood sweetheart, Tara Miller, who phoned him during a live question-and-answer session on the Hollywood-based program and revealed that she was his first kiss.
Phoning from Petaluma, California, Tara said "I have a question for Simon." She then continued, "Simon, you say that some performances are really forgettable, so which of these two performances was the most memorable? Your kiss with Paula Abdul or your first kiss with me at the bottom of your garden... when you were nine years old?" Simon was shocked when he finally recognized the voice on the phone was his childhood kisser. In disbelief, Simon took a long sip of his drink as Paula and Randy Jackson laughed together. Simon yelled "This is Tara Miller, right?"
Feeling embarrassed Simon then interrupted, "Can I jump in here?" Still in disbelief, he continued, "This is really you Tara? My God, we're going back 17 years. This literally was my first kiss - this was my first crush." Moreover he added, "Bearing in mind, Tara, I was nine years old and didn't have a massive amount of experience."
Creating more embarrassing situation, other judges jokingly asked Tara, "Is Simon a good kisser?" She replied, "I thought that might be coming so I have an answer for that. It's OK. I've had a lot of therapy. I'm doing very well." Concerning this, Simon also threw a question to her, "Do you still look cute?" She answered, "I must say, you've aged very well and I think I have too, so yes, probably."
