Skipped her appearance for the Disney Channel Games media party in Orlando, Florida on Friday night May 2 where she would have faced questions from the media, Miley Cyrus finally returned for the Disney Channel Games concert on Saturday, May 3. That was her first appearance since her controversial pictures in June 2008 issue of Vanity Fair were published.
Miley rocked the stage with "See You Again" and also presented two new songs, "Fly on the Wall" and "Breakout". As being initially scheduled, she performed at the concert along with the Jonas Brothers, The Cheetah Girls, Demi Lovato and Jordan Pruitt. The concert will air in July.
"I hope you had an awesome time," Miley told the crowd who were watching her performance. Felt that she was so much helped by her fans' support, she then thanked them. "I saw a sign back there that said, 'Miley, I'm praying for you.' I could not be more appreciative. Thank you guys for all your support," she stated. Moreover she added, "Without you, none of this would be possible. I love every one of you and I could not be more appreciative. God bless you."
As previously reported, Miley's semi naked Vanity Fair photographs triggered both criticism and support. Some criticized her, some didn't want to judge, and some even sincerely defended her. Those who came to their defense were fellow celebs including Madonna, Heidi Montag, Jamie Lee Curtis, supermodel Tyra Banks, and many more.
