Jessica Alba Confirms She's Pregnant With Baby Girl, Shows Off Nursery

Jessica Alba confirms that she and fiance Cash Warren are expecting a baby girl and shows off her baby nursery exclusively to Us Weekly.

A happy news comes from Jessica Alba and fiance Cash Warren as she confirms that they are expecting a baby girl. Jessica even shows off the baby's nursery exclusively to Us Weekly.

Working with designer Kari Whitman, Jessica and Cash decided on a lavender, pink, and white color scheme. They also wanted hippie-style embellishments. For the finishing touches, the actress explained that she and Cash are planning to put the baby photos of various family members. However, they're quite happy with the almost-completed room.

Jessica intentionally created a sustainable nursery as she wanted to make the environment as natural as possible. To the publication she said, "That's the way I live. Kari respects and shares my views on being as green as possible. I've been into anything ecofriendly or sustainable for a little while now, and I wanted to make this environment as nontoxic as possible."

Even when it comes to the furniture, she admitted that she did a research on them in order to get non-toxic ones. "When I was doing research on furniture, I thought NurseryWorks was really cute. I told them I wanted formaldehyde-free wood and low-VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) paint, and they were like, 'That's our line,'" she added.

Insisted that the furniture are not just for the baby girl, Jessica explained that she wanted them to be useful when she has a baby boy someday. "It's not just for one sex: If we have a boy in a few years, it's something I can use. Also, all of the furniture grows with the kids: The bed becomes a toddler trundle, and the changing table can be just another," she revealed. Although a daughter is on the way, Jessica and Cash have not yet picked up a name for the baby. However, she will give the best name for her upcoming daughter, saying "I'm waiting. We're not sure what the name is going to be. My name was Faradon Luisa for three days. I don't want to make that mistake with my kid!"
