Monday, May 12 wasn't a lucky day for actress Drew Barrymore as she became a victim of a hit and run accident in West Holywood. Her car was rear-ended at that time, and the perpetrator fled the scene.
L.A. Sheriff's Department Sgt. Kristin Aloma said the accident occurred before 12 P.M on Gardner St. near Santa Monica Boulevard. Drew was driving her car passing the street when suddenly a vehicle struck the back of her car. Fortunately, she wasn't injured at that time.
The irresponsible driver didn't want to pull over, but run with the vehicle and left the scene. Brave Drew then chased the vehicle but eventually lost the track. However, she got something essential in the chase, namely the vehicle's license plate number. She handed the information to sheriff's deputies and it is under investigation.
In addition, Aloma said she didn't know the extent of damage to Drew's car and there was no arrest had been reported on Tuesday morning, May 13. "It could be dangerous," Aloma commented on the accident.
