Madonna and Guy Ritchie's Trial Separation

Madonna and her 7 year-long husband Guy Ritchie are said to be heading for a trial separation.

Legendary pop diva Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie have just been hit with marriage-on-the-rocks rumors again. The couple are said to end their seven-year marriage, thus are heading for a "civilized" trial separation, a source told Daily Mail.

A source said that Madonna and Guy were seen together at the Cannes Film Festival last week, but they looked so depressed. "They did not look like two people who were very happy in each other's company. She (Madonna) looked frail and pale, like someone under tremendous strain, and he (Guy) seemed utterly miserable," the source revealed.

Madonna and Guy have reportedly been living separately since the beginning of this year. They even argued "about everything" and complained to each other. The singer has complained Guy often treated her with cold indifference in public. He drank "too much for his own good" and spent insufficient time with her and their three children.

As for Guy, he complained Madonna tried to control his life. "Guy's problem is that he is in her shadow. She is the star of the show and he feels a little emasculated by the marriage," said a source. Another source revealed, "They never see each other and sleep in separate rooms. Madonna's day revolves around herself and her children and her work, and not Guy. Yet she is still trying to control his life and hounds him on the phone constantly, wanting to know where he is every day. It's not unheard of for her to call him six times an hour if she doesn't know where he is. But they just don't spend much time together unless they are with the children."

In addition, Madonna is said to be planning to leave U.K. and move to New York in June. "Madonna is miserable and has lost her desire to live full-time in the UK," a source told Daily Mail. Moreover the source added, "Madonna is preparing for the busiest few months of her year. She leaves for NY at the start of June and won't be back until October. She has talked about the children going with her but she hasn't mentioned Guy once."
