Bad news have just emerged that American R&B singer Usher and wife Tameka Foster would end their marriage. The singer is even said to have already filed official papers for divorce three weeks ago. However, he is still considering whether to make an official announcement or let the news "leak" out.
The news started to leak out as Theyoungblackandfabulous.com reported, "Extremely reliable sources close to Mr Raymond himself have confirmed to us that Usher has indeed filed for separation from his wife of only nine months Tameka Raymond. I'm told he actually filed three weeks ago." Moreover the gossip website added, "And Usher is torn on whether he will be making an official announcement or not as he wants to save face and just let it 'leak'."
The news media also claimed that the divorce could be a publicity stunt for Usher's new album Here I Stand, which due to be released worldwide at the end of May. "How convenient that his album releases in exactly six days, his second video hit the net today, and his album leaked yesterday. We've been here before with the pre-album release publicity stunts," the website revealed.
In the fall of 2007, Usher announced that he and Tameka were expecting a baby boy. They then got married in a quiet ceremony in his lawyer's office in Atlanta on August 3, 2007. On November 26, the two welcomed their first child, who was named Usher Raymond V. Meanwhile, in April this year, he was rumored to be working on another child. "Usher wants at least two more children with Tameka, so they're not wasting any time," a source said.
