Newlywed Ashlee Simpson, who has confirmed few days ago that she's 3 months pregnant with hubby Pete Wentz's child, has postponed her summer tour. It was her publicist who said in a statement on Saturday, May 31 that the singer has to cancel the tour out of pregnancy concern.
"After careful consideration, Ashlee Simpson has decided to postpone her summer tour," the publicist revealed. Moreover the publicist added, "She is committed to giving her fans the best show possible, and will be back better than ever and ready to rock in the future."
After getting married on May 17, Ashlee and Pete then announced they are expecting their first child on Wednesday, May 28, on a website Pete is associated with, Friendsorenemies.com. The two wrote, "While many have speculated about this, we wanted to wait until after the first trimester to officially confirm that we are expecting our first child. This is truly the most joyous time in our lives and we are excited to share the happy news and start our family."
In other Ashlee and Pete news, they were in Las Vegas with her parents for the Palms Place grand opening party. Pete was spinning there and proudly dedicated song "Power of Love" toward his father in law, Joe Simpson. "This is dedicated to my father in law Joe Simpson. I definitely have the power of love for you," Pete said into the microphone.
