Kristin Davis to Launch Fashion Line This Fall at Belk"Sex and the City" star admits that she knows what the Southern women want to wear, thus likes to design fashion products. She has announced she will launch clothing line in August, in a partnership with the North Carolina-based department store chain Belk Inc.

Kristin has designed dresses, denim, sporty separates, sleepwear and handbags, which priced between $38 and $240. The items will be available at 126 of Belk's 307 locations in every part of the southeastern U.S. It will also be expanded into more locations next spring, via Belk.com. Moreover, Kristin will appear at different stores to promote her fashion products.

Concerning her new venture she stated, "The only way I would have done a line of clothing is to do it at Belk." She then continued, "I grew up shopping at Belk. It was the nicest store we had, and I'd save my allowance to go to Belk." She also revealed her personal style, saying "I feel like I understand what the Southern woman wants to wear-it's influenced my personal style so much, growing up in the South."

Furthermore, Kristin confessed that working on her own fashion line is better than going shopping. "(The line) really started in my closet, which for me is more exciting than going shopping and just seeing what already is available, I have these classic pieces I've have for six, 10 years that I hold onto," she stated.
