Avril Lavigne to Launch Her First Fragrance LineCanadian singer has come to her new commercial venture, creating her own fragrance. She has struck a licensing deal with Procter & Gamble Prestige Products to launch her first perfume in fall 2009, WWD reported.

Heike Hindenlang, global marketing director for Procter & Gamble Prestige Products is sure that the fragrance line will attract many consumers, especially teenage girls and Avril's huge fans. "Young teenage girls really aspire to Avril and love everything about her. We think we can reach out to new consumers with her scents," Heike revealed. Moreover the marketing director added, "It's about finding which brands appeal to young consumers and (which) fashion and celebrities are resonant with them."

As for Avril, she said that she's very happy "to be working with Procter & Gamble on releasing my first fragrance." The singer also admitted that making on her own fragrance is really fun, saying "Creating this fragrance is a fun process and I am looking forward to sharing it with everyone."

In other Avril news, she has landed her first lead role in a movie, thus put her music career on hold. Although she has already taken minor roles in some previous movie, she wants to boost her acting career, having a leading role in upcoming film. The pop star insists that it will be totally different from her previous work. She told British publication The London Paper, "I've got a film role coming up - something you wouldn't expect from me, something deep and dark."
