A wedding ceremony is on the way for "American Idol" winner Fantasia Barrino and her longtime boyfriend, Young Dro. The happy news comes from a source who exclusively told MediaTakeOut that they are going to walk down the aisle this fall.

According to the source, Fantasia and Young are reportedly "planning a small event for family and friends." While the wedding news has already leaked out, the couple have not yet spoken out about this.

Fantasia is currently working on her untitled third album, which will be released in early 2009. It has been announced two weeks ago that she is set to star in the new version of musical movie that Oprah Winfrey plans to produce, "The Color Purple". She thanked Oprah for giving her the opportunity to star in the movie, saying "I was just coming out of surgery that day. I was drugged. As soon as I came out my manager came over to me and (said) 'Guess what? Good news. You got the part.' And I smiled. I couldn't talk. I smiled and I cried. That's the best news I ever got."
