Young Jeezy Arrested for Various Car-Related Offenses

Young Jeezy was arrested by police officers in Atlanta on Wednesday, June 18 and cited for driving under influence and other car-related offenses.

A bad luck for rapper Young Jeezy that he was pulled over by police officers in Atlanta on Wednesday, June 18, for irresponsible driving. He was arrested and charged with various automobile-related offenses and then released with a scheduled court date.

Jeezy was driving his white Corvette when he suddenly was stopped along Atlanta's Buford Highway near route I-85 around 2:30 A.M. for speeding. Police officers then noticed his car was missing its license plates. "Everything just went from there," police spokesperson Officer James Polite stated. After that, along with the speeding, officers cited him for DUI, reckless driving, missing tags, driving with an open container and failing to show proof of insurance.

Jeezy's attorney Scott Leemon issued a statement which claimed the rapper was arrested by the police shortly after leaving the studio to work on his new album, "The Recession". "After being charged with various automobile-related offenses, Jeezy was quickly processed and released," reads the statement. The hip-hop star was then released on an undisclosed bail amount just hours after his arrest, but is due in court to answer to the charges on July 17. The statement reads, "A court date has been scheduled, and Jeezy looks forward to getting the matter resolved."
