Mario Lopez is the hottest bachelor of this year, according to People magazine. The heartthrob tops the annual list of the magazine's "Hottest Bachelors 2008". Despite his sexy body, however, the dimpled-faced star admits that he was a fat baby.
"I was a fat, fat baby. I looked like a sumo wrestler," Mario told the publication. He then added, "My mom had to pull the fat folds apart when she bathed me!" He also stripped down to his pants for the publication's new issue, which will hit stores on Friday, June 20.
Mario, who is recently single, also confessed to the publication that he likes "a girl who's from a modest sort of upbringing, because it's more relatable." He further added, "I'm a first-generation American. My parents emigrated from Mexico and live in the same house I grew up in Chula Vista, Calif. I'd feel weird if the girl was a little too uppity or affluent, because I'm a very down-home kind of guy."
Mario got his bachelor status right after he split from girlfriend Karina Smirnoff. The dancer's publicist Melissa Berger confirmed the split to E! Online, saying "Karina has parted ways with her two-year relationship with Mario Lopez. The relationship wasn't heading in the right direction."
Meanwhile, a wide of array of single men from television, film, music and sports also made the magazine's annual list. Other bachelors featured on the list are tennis player James Blake, Britney Spears' older brother Bryan Spears, "American Idol" winner David Cook, actors Gerard Butler and Terrence Howard.
