Performing at the Glastonbury Music Festival on Saturday night, June 28, Amy Winehouse apparently was driven mad by one of her fan. She appeared to throw a punch at the fan while singing, as well as approaching the audiences at the massive festival.
Amy climbed down to the pit in front of the stage to meet the audiences while performing her song "Rehab". She was captured on video punching an unseen reveler, but the footage of the incident did not clearly show what triggered her anger toward the fan.
Meanwhile, Amy's spokesman claimed that the singer was provoked when a fan tried to grab her trademark beehive hairdo. "The 'lashing out' was when someone tried to grab her hair and she reacted," the spokesman said. The rep then added that at least 75,000 people watched and the organizers didn't see that the field was so full.
Concerning the incident at the festival, police said on Sunday, June 29 that they hadn't received any complaint of assault after the gig. Thus, there was no investigation.
