After selling her house in May and giving the proceeds to PETA, Pamela Anderson once more put her valuable property, namely car, at auction as a donation for the animal rights group. The proceeds are expected to help People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals to run an anti-snake slaughter campaign.
Pamela's car, 2000 Dodge Viper, along with its amenities including "soft-top convertible roof, front spoiler, racing pinstriping and a luxurious leather interior," was auctioned off in Las Vegas last weekend for $65,000. A spokesman for PETA, Michael McGraw, revealed that the group will use the cash to raise awareness about the cruel methods used to skin animals, particularly in India, such as snakes and crocodiles.
Concerning the auction, Pamela told E! Online exclusively, "I just realized I have too many things." The "Baywatch" star then added, "I've had (my car) since my VIP days and barely drive it...and it would go to much better use if PETA would benefit, so, in the spirit of giving everything away...and helping others."
Previously, Pamela opened a garage sale to sell off all contents of one of her houses in Los Angeles, namely the one at beach side suburb of Malibu. She offered her furniture, "Baywatch" memorabilia, books, clothing, shoes, and many other stuff for sale. Even more interesting, she included her used lingerie at the garage sale. Her fashion collections which were offered for sale included a chain-mail bra, numerous satin negligees, seven-inch high stripper-style heels and feather boas. The money obtained from the sale also went to PETA.
Pamela told E! Online concerning the garage sale, "While I'm almost finished building my new home in an ecofriendly development back home in Canada, Vancouver Island, I'm between houses and just realized I don't need all these things." The beauty added, "I'm very happy with my kids, traveling and camping out with family and friends. It's very freeing and exciting. It just feels good!"
