Rumors which claimed that singer Madonna's marriage to her husband Guy Ritchie is on the rocks apparently are not true. The diva's spokeswoman has released an exclusive statement to People magazine, denying reports that the couple are going to end their marriage.
Madonna's spokeswoman Liz Rosenberg told the publication, "Madonna's husband Guy arrived in New York last night to be with his wife and family (not in a last ditch attempt to save his marriage which does not need saving)." Liz added, "There are no plans for Madonna and Guy to divorce."
Madonna and Guy have been hit by rumors, which claimed that the couple had separately called divorce lawyers, since last week. A source told Mail Online, "Guy and Madonna are at breaking point and have both separately talked to lawyers. Their friends have not ruled out all hope but the situation is dire, to say the least." Another source revealed to Daily Mirror that the singer have sought a legal advice from a famous lawyer, saying "Madonna always seeks out the best in whatever field she is interested in at any given time. Fiona Shackleton is the best."
Meanwhile, just days after the divorce rumors emerged, Madonna was hit with another rumor that she had an affair with New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez. However, Liz has also come to a denial of the rumors, insisting that a published report of a romance between the singer and Alex is not true. "Madonna and Alex have the same manager, Guy Oseary. They have met. They know each other and Madonna took her kids to a Yankees game last week. There's really not anything to comment on beyond that," she said in a statement.
In addition, Liz went on saying, "It's nothing new that people are airing tons of dirty laundry Madonna's way lately--much of it untrue." She joked, "By the way, rumors of Madonna and Lil Wayne are quite exaggerated, as well."
