After announcing their engagement last week, actress
Uma Thurman and her fiance, multimillionaire Arpad Busson, hosted an engagement party. The party, which was attended by a string of Hollywood famous celebs, was held in a marquee on Tuesday night, July 1.
Among the guests are famous fellow celebs Sir
Elton John,
Sting,
Claudia Schiffer and Sir Bob Geldof. Actress
Elizabeth Hurley, Damien Hirst, Jemima Khan and Charlotte Princess of Monaco were also seen attending the bash.
Concerning the star-studded party, a source revealed "In the face of it, it was low-key but looking closer, the whole party just reeked of money." Furthermore the source added, "As well as the celebrity guests, there were a lot of people from Arki's fiance world and so everything was catering for their super-rich appetites. Their wedding is sure to be very elaborate."
Uma and Arpad announced they were engaged and showed off the engagement ring on June 26 at Elton John's 10th White tie and Tiara benefit. A friend described the sparkling rock as so big until "she can't fit it through the sleeve of her coat". A friend of Uma said that the couple are coming closer to a nuptials, saying "It's a done deal. They're already planning the wedding."
