Matthew McConaughey Welcomes a Baby Boy

Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves welcome their first baby boy on Monday afternoon in Los Angeles.

Matthew McConaughey is extremely happy right now. His girlfriend, Camila Alves finally gave birth a baby boy Monday, July 7, afternoon in Los Angeles, California. "A healthy baby boy was born,"Matthew said exclusively to OK!. "Camila and I were side by side the entire time. We are both tired and elated, and are so happy to have created the greatest miracle in the world. Having a child and making a family. Now comes the greatest adventure, raising one, together," he stated. The unnamed baby was born at 6.22 P.M. local time weighing 7 lb., 4 oz., the rep of the "How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days" actor has confirmed the cheery news.

McConaughey's excitement was actually already shown when he announced Alves' pregnancy in January. On his official website, the actor commented, "We are stoked and wowed by this miracle of creation and this gift from God, and so excited for the adventure that will come in raising this child, being a mother and a father, and sheparding him or her through this life".

The new daddy even told Entertainment Tonight that he has been receiving a parenting advice, "One thing I've heard that's consistent is, whatever plans you make, throw them out the window!". "But I've got the instincts for it, and I know Camila does, and I'm looking forward to the big adventure," he added.

Last month, on June 15, Matthew and Camila, a 26-year-old Brazilian supermodel held a baby shower at Matthew's home in Malibu. Camila greeted the party attendees arriving with their blue paper wrapped presents. The baby shower was held in honor of the couple's first child together.
