William Bradley Pitt has been asked to star in Quentin Tarantino's latest action movie 'Inglorious Bastards'.
Now that the famous writer/director, Quentin Tarantino has uncovered his latest movie's script "Inglorious Bastards", four major Hollywood studios are ready to battle for the script. In addition, another interesting word following the release is that the writer wanted
Brad Pitt, the actor of "Fight Club" to star in the action movie.
This report has been confirmed first by Nikki Finke in his Deadline Hollywood Daily on July 8. Up till now, there is no detailed information added concerning the talk between Tarantino and Pitt. If Pitt would play in this new action movie, it would be the second time for the A-list Hollywood actor, after in 1993 he played in "True Romance" which was scripted by Tarantino.
Talking about the movie "Inglorious Bastards" itself, as it is previously mentioned, apparently the script has attracted four studios, Universal Pictures, Warner Bros. Pictures, Paramount Pictures and Sony Pictures. Even though Tarantino has offered the script to other studios, the movie will still be produced by Harvey Weinstein, who owned The Weinstein Company and also Laurence Bender.
"Inglorious Bastards" is focused on a group of U.S. soldier in World War II who are about to be executed. They are trying to avoid the punishment by doing a mission to help the Allies to fight Nazis. The movie which is expected to be finished before its special screening at the 62nd Cannes Film Festival in 2009, is said to have Michael Madsen and Tim Roth participating in that movie.
