Amy Winehouse will launch her own club night at the Camden Monarch venue in London on Thursday, July 10, according to reports. The night is named Snakehips At The Monarch and the tickets will be available on the door.
According to British music NME, Amy is set to have a face-off with DJ Bioux during the evening. She will also play a selection of songs that have influenced her own musical output along this time.
Meanwhile, Amy's husband Blake Fielder-Civil, who is currently incarcerated in Pentonville Prison, is expected to be sentenced in court for perverting the course of justice on the same day as the troubled singer launches the club night. He has recently been photographed taking heroin in his cell, despite claiming that he is completely clean.
An insider told The Sun, "Blake takes heroin whenever he can get hold of it. His claims to be clean are a fallacy and it is obvious he remains dependent." Further, the insider added "There is nothing to suggest he won't carry on when he's outside and back with Amy. If she takes him back into her life when she is trying to get clean it will be a recipe for disaster."
In other Amy previous news, she has developed another dangerous addiction, namely to her sunbed. She is desperate to get back to brown, spending more than an hour a day inside her sunbed to absorb its rays. "Amy can't do anything by halves. Recently she has been going for it on the sunbed, but she won't be told. She bought it to get rid of scabs that started appearing on her skin," a friend of the singer told The Sun.
According to the publication, Amy had the sunbed fitted at her home in Camden, North London, earlier this year. "Over the years Amy has been addicted to alcohol, all sorts of drugs, men and even knitting. This is another addiction that puts her health in danger. Why can't she take up squash or something?" the friend added.
