A week after giving birth to her twins, Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline, Angelina Jolie has finally checked out of a maternity clinic in the south of France on Saturday (July 19). The Hollywood actress is reported by People to have left the French hospital before dawn on Saturday to avoid the photographers who have been massed outside the Foundation Lenval clinic. "Mrs Angelina Jolie left the clinic Santa Maria of Foundation Lenval early in the morning, on July 19. The mother and her babies are doing very well," the hospital's rep, Nadine Bauer, said in a statement.
A newswire says that Jolie's departure with her main squeeze, Brad Pitt, began at about 3:50 A.M. when a grey Volkswagen minibus with darkened windows arrived outside the hospital on its Promenade des Anglais wing. The report also said that Pitt and Jolie will bring the twins to a $70 million enormous and luxurious Chateau Miraval they have rented in May. The twins are about to join their excited siblings, six-year-old Maddox, four-year-old Pax, three-year-old Zahara, and two-year-old Shiloh, at the France mansion.
In a statement, Bauer thanked the Jolie-Pitt couple for choosing the hospital. She also thanked her own hospital personnel for the attention and care they gave to the Jolie-Pitt family and for "those journalists around the hospital who did their best to respect their privacy."
As previously reported, the Oscar-winning American actress gave birth to the twins last week with the children's father by her side. She delivered the babies via a scheduled cesarean section on July 12 with Knox, weighing 5.03 pounds and Vivienne, weighing 5 pounds.
