Rumors of a possible affair with baseball player Alex Rodriguez which recently hit Madonna couldn't stop swirling, though she has come to denial of them. Even more shocking, the pop diva and her rumored lover become the center of a sex tape scandal as a cameraman claimed he has a video footage which features the couple having sex.
It was Daily Star which broke the sex tape news, reporting that the cameraman is trying to make it commercial. He claimed that the footage was shot in an apartment allegedly used by Madonna and Alex for what the newspaper called "afternoon trysts". According to NME.com, he demands 1 million pound sterling for the possession of the footage.
A legal source told Daily Star, "If footage was obtained in this way it would be an outrageous invasion of privacy. But more than that he would not have had his friend's consent to install the camera and must have entered the apartment without approval to hide it. That is burglary." Further, the source claimed, "He would be prima facie guilty of voyeurism. Instead of making a million he'd be going to jail for a few years. Even if the video existed it would probably be seized by the courts." Madonna's lawyers said that they were "aware" of the claims but refused to comment further.
Earlier this month, Madonna has shut down rumors that her marriage with husband Guy Ritchie was on the rocks and that she was having affair with Alex. She told People exclusively, "My husband and I are not planning on getting a divorce." The pop diva then insisted that she is not romantically linked to Alex and has nothing to do with the break-up of his marriage, saying "I know Alex Rodriguez through Guy Oseary, who manages both of us. I brought my kids to a Yankee game. I am not romantically involved in any way with Alex Rodriguez. I have nothing to do with the state of his marriage or what spiritual path he may choose to study."
