Despite rumors that she was booed during her first country music concert last weekend (July 19) in Wisconsin, Jessica Simpson's spokesperson, Lauren Auslander, has released a statement that the actress' performance has actually been extremely well-received. Laura said that she has done a great performance and therefore received a bunch of cheers from her audience.
Further, Laura has also convinced the public that her new single "Come on Over" from her new album "Do You Know?" got a good response in the concert. "She even got a standing ovation after performing the title track to her new album," said Laura.
Jessica's move into the country music got attention when her father, Joe Simpson, stated to People (September 11, 2007) that she desired to be a Texan country singer. "Jessica is talking about doing a country record and going back to her roots, being a Texas," said Joe to the mag.
