Joss Stone previously was devastated when she split from longtime beau Dozier, but she has recently moved on with a new lover, according to reports. The singer is said to be romantically linked and secretly dating rapper Nelly, who initially dated Ashanti.
It was Daily Mirror which broke the dating news, quoting a source as saying, "Joss and Nelly have been out on a few dates together. It's early days but we haven't seen Joss this happy in quite a long time." The source added that it is such a luck for Joss that she falls in love with a famous singer like Nelly. "It's great she has met someone as successful as she is and who understands the pressures being a performer can put on your life. And it helps that he is hot too - he is just her type," the source revealed.
It seems this is the perfect time for Joss to focus on herself instead of her career. The source claimed, "Joss is determined to spend more time on herself this year, as it has been pretty whirlwind for her since she was 14. And if she has a little romance along the way who can blame her. She certainly deserves it."
After splitting from Dozier in 2005, Joss has since made a shocking confession that she wanted to be a lesbian, considering the difficulties of getting a match boyfriend. "I've had kind of bad luck with boys, they just don't tend to be too kind to me. I don't know why, maybe it's something I do?," she desperately said. The soul singer went on adding, "Every girl my age wants to be in a relationship. I haven't had one in two years. I think I'll have to turn lesbian."
As for Nelly, he has split from Ashanti in April 2007. However, speculation began to swirl that the rapper has cheated on her with Joss. While the dating news have leaked, representatives for Joss and Nelly have not yet given comments on this.
