Amy Winehouse Offered 2M Dollars to Perform at Prince of Brunei's GigA fortune is coming to troubled singer as she is said to have been offered $2 million to sing for Brunei royal. Although she has vowed to take a long break following lung disease emphysema, the singer is set to perform at music lover Prince Azim's lavish private party in November, reports claim. Azim is the son of the Sultan of Brunei and is set to inherit a share of his father's 25 billion pounds fortune.

According to Daily Star Sunday, Amy has told friends that the huge amount of money could be used to change the life of her imprisoned husband Blake Fielder-Civil when he is released from jail. "The offer comes at a time when Blake is very much on Amy's mind. Things still need to be worked out but, if she does the gig, she will hand the fee straight to Blake who should be free soon afterwards," a friend of the singer told the news media.

Amy had hoped Blake would be released this week, but she was left disappointed knowing that he will have to stay inside until December. The friend explained, "Amy genuinely believed Blake could be out. So she is very upset. She desperately needs a rest and her dad Mitch is determined she won't perform again after the summer. But she could well accept the prince's invitation now." The insider further added, "She thinks it will give him something to make a fresh start with. And he can plan how best to use the money during the rest of his sentence. One idea is that he could use the cash to set himself up in business."
