Taylor Swift Receives High School Diploma While Touring

Country singer, Taylor Swift, has received her high school diploma on the road while touring with Rascal Flatts. After signing up for home tuition, the 18-year-old singer got her diploma via mail.

She then shares her joy about the graduation on MySpace. She wrote, "Another thing I'm excited about is that I've officially graduated from high school!! CLASS OF 2008. YESSSSSSS. Even if I've been home schooled for the past 2 years, it still means a lot to me that I have my diploma." Moreover on a press release, she added, "Education has always been at the forefront of my priorities, so I'm really glad to have my diploma."

Taylor had given up her regular high school when her career began rising up. She was said to be looking for flexibility and then moved to Aaron Academy, a private Christian school that offers home schooling. "I never expected that my senior year would go the way it has," she said in a statement, "Yet, there's something really exciting about getting to live your dream and continue your education at the same time."

According to Billboard Magazine, the singer, who was nominated for a 2008 Grammy Award in the category of Best New Artist, will release her new album this fall. She is expected to contribute her song writing in every track.
