Breaking up with her ex-fiance, Ryan Reynolds in February 2007 made 34-years-old singer Alanis Morissette wild. The actress who joined ordained minister with Universal Life Church in 2004, began to enjoy a lot of dates and a lot of sex.
A source says that the "Thank You" singer still was in shock with her broke up engagement and needed a few months to recover. Alanis said that she didn't want to be involved in relationship with someone serious for a year after she broke up. As a result she enjoyed having sex with different men without commitment between them. "No strings relationships have helped cure me of love addiction," said the singer who participated in a music album which title "Song for Tibet".
She added "All my life I've been in long-term monogamous relationships. I had to break that pattern by not allowing myself to have a relationship for a year, stopping myself from committing to men. I haven't been celibate. I've had lots of dates and lots of sex, but I haven't been pushing to turn a date into a relationship. This has been a huge thing for me".
The Canadian singer split from the "X-Men Origins: actor and agreed to end their five years relationship in 2004. They first met at Drew Barrymore's birthday party in 2002.
