Singer and actress Demi Lovato has ended her romance with boyfriend Cody Linley, according to reports. It is said that the couple have decided to split up since the actress has to focus on touring with teen sensations Jonas Brothers.
Concerning the break up, Cody insisted he and Demi are still friends and may get back together some day. "We're kind of on a break... I think it's the only choice really. Otherwise, it would be especially hard, especially if she's going to do international dates too," Contactmusic.com quoted him as saying.
Demi provides the opening for the Jonas Brothers on their currently underway Burning Up Tour. She is currently recording her debut CD, and the brothers have helped her write 11 songs for her debut album.
In other Demi news, she has admitted she admired Miley Cyrus, despite rumors of a possible rivalry between them after a mocking You Tube video. The 15-year-old star along with her BFF Selena Gomez are widely perceived as possible successors to Miley. She revealed, "I am who I am. I'd like to be Demi Lovato. If I can accomplish half of what (Miley's) done, it'd be an honor, but I'd like to do it as Demi."
As for the "Hannah Montana" star, she previously commented, "I don't think there could be a next Miley. I think they should be the next Selena, the next Demi ... [and] make their own way."
