Solange Knowles Signed as Armani Jeans Ambassador

The young R 'n' B singer is entering a new world outside of her musical roots by becoming the spokesperson for the famous fashion house.

Beyonce Knowles' sister Solange Knowles is set to enter the modeling world after by becoming the spokesperson of famous fashion house Armani. Solange has been tapped by the fashion house to promote and become the model for the company's jeans product.

Revealing the reason the fashion house tapped Solange as their new icon, the company's owner Giorgio Armany told the press that the R 'n' B singer is the right person that can represent his vision. "Armani Jeans expresses my vision of a young, independent, casual lifestyle with a strong and cool, fashion sensibility. Solange epitomises this style perfectly and brings to it that swing so evident in her new single, 'I Decided'" Giorgio said.

Solange's signing to Armani also means that she has also followed her sister's modeling footsteps as previously Beyonce has also been taped as the representative for Armani but in its fragrance department.

The "I Dicided" singer will start her new job by flying to Europe for a press tour that will be starting this summer in London.

In other news, beside preparing her new duties to promote Armani jeans, the "I Decided" singer is currently busy preparing the release of her new LP "Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams". On the upcoming album that is being scheduled to hit the stores on August 26 , Solange is working with lots of famous names, such as Pharrell Williams and Lil Wayne.
